I am glad to write my first post today here. I am Vasudha – The Crazy and Curious Girl who love to explore new places in beautiful country – India. Yes!!! If you have that craziness, inquisitiveness, wish and money in your pocket than definitely you can be a crazy explorer.
I would like to share my wonderful and mesmerizing trip to Kutch last year which i did in December 2015. Since, my childhood i am in love with a universal solvent on earth – Water. A place where i find peace of mind just listening to that soothing sound and having solitary walk nearby. So i chose to explore the unexplored beach in Gujarat which is located in small city called Mandvi in Kutch. At the northern coast of the Gulf of Kutch with white sands and clean sea waters, an opportunity to watch beautiful sea gulls and flamingos. In Bollywood movie ‘Refugee’ it was truly said
Panchhi nadiya pawan ke jhonke, koi sarhad na inhe roke Sarhad insano ke liye hain, socho tumne aur maine kya paya insan hoke
I went to the famous Vijay Vilas Palace located on sea beach of Mandvi, Gujarat. The palace was built during reign of Maharao Shri Khengarji III, the Maharao of Kutch, as a summer resort for the use of his son & heir to the kingdom, the Yuvraj Shri Vijayaraji and is therefore, named after him as Vijaya Vilas Palace. The construction of palace started in year in 1920 and was completed in year 1929.The palace is built with red sandstone. (You can refer Wikipedia for more details)
After the visit to this beautiful places it was time to explore The Great – White Rann of Kutch. The Great Rann of Kutch is a seasonal salt marsh located in the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujarat, India and the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is about 7,505.22 square kilometres (2,897.78 sq mi) in size and is reputed to be one of the largest salt desert in the world. This area has been inhabited by the Kutchi people.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Rann_of_Kutch)
